Celebrity victim blames Atlanta shootings on Christian ministries

By now, everybody knows about the shootings which took place last week in Atlanta, where a 21-year-old man went on a killing spree at three massage parlors, resulting in the deaths of eight people. The casualties included six Asian-American women and the perpetrator was a white male who used a firearm to commit his crimes.
What’s also sad is the man, whose name will not be mentioned, professed to be a Christian, was at one time was involved in a Baptist Church, yet said he was a sex addict and committed the atrocities in order to cut off temptation. The church he was a part of was part of the SBC and uses the teaching of a sound Biblical ministry.
We should understand that regardless of what this guy said to police, he was no Christian when committing these horrific crimes, and only he is responsible for his actions. Not the pastors who taught in the ministries that he sat under. This man either 1.) did not have a clear understanding of the scripture he was attributing to (Matt. 5:27-30), 2.) twisting the passage to suit his desires, or 3.) sitting under false teaching.
From what has been reported, he hadn’t been to church in years, which likely would point to either of the first two scenarios..
However, as expected, the world and professing believers who have gone “woke” are looking at it in a different way. Once knowledge became known to the public on the motives of the shooter, all of the “Christian” social justice warriors took to social media to attack the Biblical sound teaching ministry in which the church the shooter attended supposedly had ties with.
The subjects of racism, misogyny and equating Biblical Christianity to white supremacy were being used.
Most prominent was former gymnast Rachael Denhollander, known to be a Christian. Denhollander is best known for being the first woman to publicly accuse a former USA gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar of sexual abuse and making a powerful statement at his sentencing in 2018. The statement, which took place in a courtroom in her native state of Michigan, included her confronting Nassar, yet expressing forgiveness towards him and hope for his salvation.
Unfortunately, Denhollander, now an attorney and advocate for sexual abuse victims, has become a woke progressive and supports the critical race theory (CRT) movement within the church. Her ranting tweet blaming solid ministries that teach on the subject of Biblical Sexuality is seen here below.

Mrs. Denhollander should be angered and saddened just like every other person. But it is clear she is not blaming the perpetrator, or at least she is not showing it here. Who she is blaming is obviously the pastors, teachers, evangelists who lead ministries that teach sound doctrine on Biblical sexuality and purity culture. More info here (24:12-24:55).
Her words are respectable, but the tone also appears condescending. This leads to questioning her motives for making such a rant seven tweets long.
Yes, how they teach sexuality matters. But if they are teaching it correctly, what another individual makes of it does not make them responsible for their actions. Does Mrs. Denhollander have proof or links of any false teaching that the perpetrator sat under? Is she also aware that he hasn’t been active in church in years, which likely caused him to fall away from truth?
More red flags are seen as she calls out criticisms made in the past towards Beth Moore, herself and the names of other women inevitably taken a leftward turn in evangelism. She also called out John MacArthur, one of the most sound pastors of our day.
The former gymnast and celebrity survivor expressed how she’s been begging pastors to see how their teaching is badly influencing people like the shooter and accuses them of turning a deaf ear to her and those like her.
With apologies to Mrs. Denhollander, again, the pastors, teachers and their ministries are not responsible for the action of the shooter in Atlanta. He is the one responsible and should have had common sense not to know that when the Bible instructs you to cut off temptation, it does not include going out and killing someone. After all, it does state in a commandment “Thy shall not murder.” (Exodus 20:13, NASB)
That brings up another question. How well does Mrs. Denhollander know the Bible? Nowhere does she mention scripture to back up what she says and you won’t find any on her personal website.
One notable response to the rant came a hearty approval from Moore, who tweeted “A thousand amens.”
Mrs. Denhollander went on another rant that consisted of three tweets, leading off by quoting a tweet from a known social justice warrior identifying Founders Ministries, another sound teaching group. and placing the issues it teaches in air quotes. And, she gets more praise from Moore.

Rachael Denhollander was and should always be commended for the stand she took in 2018 against the doctor who sexually abused her and other girls. But she has since shown a drift into social justice apostasy and doesn’t express any knowledge of the Bible.
More evidence can be found in her husband Jacob Denhollander, who made a comment on Twitter showing his opposition to Canadian pastor James Coates when he was arrested last month, denying he was persecuted and that he should have been obeying COVID-19 restrictions. It can be seen in this video (at 20:48) by evangelist Justin Peters.
That of course, is another story for another time, but should indicate the direction the Denhollanders are going with their Christianity.
Mrs. Denhollander is wrong for blaming this tragedy on the teaching of sound-biblical ministries and the accusations are false. If she, Moore and other SJWs are going to blame something other than the shooter, who was mentally ill, and not a Christian as the media may indicate, why don’t they blame pornography? More info here (45:58-53:53)
Mrs. Denhollander appears to be misguided by her victim mentality. Her impulsive response also reveals she is likely using her celebrity status combined with this tragedy to further the woke agenda, which is sick. The fact she has become a powerful influential figure is a threat to the remnant church with her spewing out false accusations. Unfortunately, anyone who has a Christian background, but is not living out salvation, or those who are new in their walk are taking Denhollander seriously.
But true Biblical Christians must be cautious and examine her words carefully before putting stock into what she says. There have also been other instances where both Mr. and Mrs. Denhollander are not to be trusted. Prayers need to be made for them to leave wokeism behind.
