"Christian Nationalism"? Idea is Utter Nonsense!

A new label is going around as of late, and it is being used to describe Christians who live by Biblical principles and/or support former president Donald Trump and it’s being done in a slanderous way.
Unfortunately, Trump no longer being in office is not going to make the issue go away. The former president was faced with another impeachment trial last week, which he was acquitted Saturday. But the liberal media has come out with outrageous statements suggesting his supporters be de-programmed and another anchor has come up with the idea of sending out the military to go after them the same way as Islamic terrorists.
Christian Nationalism is defined by Wikipedia as Christianity-affiliated religious nationalism. Christian nationalists primarily focus on internal politics, such as passing laws that reflect their view of Christianity and its role in political and social life.
The label is being used to associate Christians who supported Trump in the same category as white nationalism and causing some to even lose their jobs.
But most of these people are a far cry from what they’re being portrayed as by the mainstream media and progressive liberals.
They stand by Biblical principles and wanted Trump to maintain office due to his opposition to abortion, gun control, support for religious freedom, free speech, having jobs in the U.S., which led to a thriving economy before the coronavirus pandemic, preventing illegal immigration from Mexico as well as muslim nations that potentially would bring in terrorism and fighting the rise of left-wing extremism. He was a better choice than Joe Biden, who officially won the election and has already shown his direct opposition to those issues, signing nearly 50 executive orders since taking office Jan. 20.
Progressive liberals have taken all these factors, building it up to be evil, even wrongly comparing it to white supremacy. This is ludicrous, yet scary and dangerous.
There are also “Christians,” who have aligned themselves with this idea. Big Eva is an example.
They resented Trump because of his narcissistic attitude, despite the fact that Biden stands on the opposing end of those issues. This includes many evangelicals that are supporting unbiblical issues.
It is clear that Trump was no Christian when he ran for election in 2016. It is still questionable if he is one today although he has proclaimed the name of Christ in recent years, surrounded himself with Godly people and respecting the rights of Christians during his term.
Unfortunately, many of his spiritual advisors consisted of popular leaders from the prosperity gospel, including Paula White, who was known to be in the leading role. That is another story for another time.
It is also evident that not every Trump supporter is a Christian. Those who stormed the capitol on Jan. 6 obviously are not. Many are also guilty of making an idol out of him.
Trump also has a history of adulterous affairs, but he didn’t show it in his presidency. Those who supported him looked past that because what mattered is that he was not involved when he was running for president. At least there were no reports.
But progressive evangelicals hold that against him and use it to condemn his Christian supporters. Doesn’t that sound like unforgiveness? There are over a dozen verses in the Bible that command you to be forgiving.
What’s funny is these are the same people who support the marxist group Black Lives Matter, condone same-sex marriage and rub elbows with the LGBTQ community, muslims, hindus, atheists and all other sorts of people living in sin. They promote the false gospel of social justice instead of relationship with Christ.
All this makes this religious group no better or worse than the people they condemn. And of course, they blame the events of Jan. 6 on Bible-believing Christian Trump supporters. Do progressives realize they are echoing the sounds of the accuser, who reminds believers of their past sins in order to shame them? Yet, they are also silent over the destructive actions of BLM and Antifa, yet are vocal when it comes to white supremacists and neo-nazis.
The accusations made by progressives are hypocritical and to put conservative Christians under the category of “Christian Nationalists” is absurd.
