U.S. senator Rafael Warnock (Democrat-Georgia) used his influence on Easter Sunday to spread a false message on the gospel of Jesus Christ.
And as Biblically sound Christians called him out on, ignorant members of the media who know nothing about Christ other than what they see as a religion, accused the critics of racism since Warnock is black, as well as being judgmental.
As many know, Warnock, who was elected back in January, was a pastor of a Baptist Church in Atlanta before taking office. However, he is not one of sound-Biblical doctrine because he supports abortion, LGBTQ rights and other issues that are antithetical to the Word of God.
Warnock made the post on Twitter, which was later taken down. Of course, by then, it was too late.
Jenna Ellis, one of the attorney’s who worked with former president Donald Trump to contest the results of the 2020 election, and other popular conservative Christian bloggers called out Warnock.
Then came backlash from supporters of Warnock at his defense. Most of the comments had nothing to do with Christianity or distinguishing truth from heresy. They came from liberal journalists from the mainstream making it about race. Some made it about different beliefs concerning Christianity. Neither one of those are correct. They were nothing more than false worldly assumptions made by people who are likely blind to the Truth of God’s Word.
First, here is a glance at the tweet.
This idea is false teaching to the core.
It is based on the premise of a works-based salvation. It’s easy to think that way. People have held this deceptive thought for centuries, that being a good person, doing good things and helping others is what will get you into Heaven when you die. But that is not the case. You can be and do those things, but without Christ at the center of your life, it is worthless as filthy rags and will not earn you eternal life (Matt. 7:21-23).
Being of good moral character is similar to what those in the false social justice gospel, as well as progressive Christianity believe.
There are dozens of atheists, satanists and adherents of false religions who participate in works of charity and they’re not getting into Heaven. What makes them different from false converts who think doing good deeds is going to earn them favor with God?
Warnock is conveying that you can be a good person without being a Christian. That might be true in the World, but it’s not the case with the Lord.
You must have a relationship with Jesus Christ as your savior. He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). Works of charity are supposed to be a fruit of salvation with the Son.
The pushback Warnock received was legitimate, righteous and just.
Here are some of the comments he got including that from Ellis.

And here is some more refutation of the heretical tweet. Since Warnock eventually took it down, the source covered up his name.

And then, here came the defenders with their blind views. You’ll also notice how Ellis did an outstanding job sticking by her points and the Truth of God.

As you can see, all these people will think it is the race factor because she is white and Warnock is black, and she had Trump as a client. The fruit they show in these tweets reveals they do not know the Truth and are taking what Warnock says at face value, believing he is a Christian, just because he has the title of pastor.
Why did Warnock eventually delete the tweet? Did he realize he was wrong? Doubtful. He likely didn’t want to keep receiving the negative backlash.
However, the elimination of the tweet supposedly prompted a Washington Post reporter to publish a story emphasizing how it “reflects religious and political chasms in Christianity.”
But that is not the case.

Also notice when bringing up Ellis, the author brought up last fall’s election, which is totally unrelated.
Sadly, non-believers will believe the worldly view demonstrated in this article, seeing nothing more than a case of in-fighting among “Christians,” and will give them more reason to dodge opportunities for salvation.
And, in his role as a U.S. Senator, Warnock likely has and will lead a lot of people astray from the true gospel. He did so here. As for these people in the liberal media, this shows their lack of knowledge of the Bible, which is a compass to Christlike living.
