Ohio police shooting reaction shows BLM wants more than just justice
A 16-year-old black girl in Columbus, Ohio shot to death by a police officer has become the latest rage from Black Lives Matter activists. The problem is the video of the incident reveals that she was shot justifiably. The backlash also reveals how debased and ignorant people, particularly the protesters in the streets, have become.
Ma’Khia Bryant was shot dead because she was attacking another girl, who is also black, with a kitchen knife. When you are attacking someone on the offense, as this young woman was doing, you run the risk of being shot either by that person in self-defense, a police officer or an armed citizen.
But despite the incident, it didn’t stop BLM activists from protesting in the streets and acting like Ms. Bryant was a victim. Then there were comment like these:
Neither did it keep the media from portraying the now-deceased female from being a good person, as well as celebrities like LeBron James from making threatening comments.
The NBA star made a tweet with a picture of the cop who shot her, saying “YOU’RE NEXT.” He later took it down. What a threat. What exactly did he mean by that? That the officer will lose his job and be the next to be convicted of murder? Or, God forbid, something worse.
Of course, this happened on a day when BLM was celebrating the conviction of Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer who had his knee on the neck of George Floyd, leading to his death.
The incident involving this young female is tragic. But the circumstances involving her death are justified. She may have been a loving teeneager, but she didn’t show it at this particular moment and that’s all that matters. Bryant got out a weapon and was attacking another female, providing just cause for the officer, Nicholas Reardon, to do his job, which consisted of him pulling out his service weapon, a firearm, and using it. No investigation should be conducted and Reerdon shall keep his job on the force.
Bryant is not a victim. Race is not the issue. Yet BLM and its supporters, which include Democratic politicians, still want to act as if both issues are and that the officer was in the wrong and committed murder. And you have the left-wing media wanting to portray her as a “victim” and dwell on why the officer couldn't have shot her in the arm or leg.
Officers are trained to go for the mass (trunk), the largest part of the body, because it is the best assurance to stop the threat. Citizens who undergo training for self-defense and a conceal carry license are also educated to apply that tactic.
The fact that BLM, liberal-minded people and the media are believing that Bryant is a “victim of murder” and doing their protests, putting on their false narratives, is revealing. It also shows they have gone beyond common sense.
It was understandable why people were outraged last year based on what was seen in the video with Chauvin’s knee on Floyd’s neck, although the events that followed were wrong and more horrific.
BLM, its supporters calling for justice over this latest police shooting of a black individual, shows that it doesn’t matter to them how it went down. All they care about is that a black person lost their life and they think it’s racist. They obviously don’t care for the black girl that would have lost hers if the police officer did not do his job and it proves they want something more than justice, which was already done at the scene. This also shows how evil knows no bounds and that’s what BLM, the liberal media and the current presidential administration is.
As for James, he showed irresponsibility and why he should not be a role model for young people. It doesn’t matter how many NBA championships he has won and what else he has accomplished. He should be disciplined by the league. He also should be in jail for endangering the life of a police officer, even though he took the comment down. But it likely won’t happen.
